From the first phone call to the final bite, this restaurant was absolute perfection.Luigi was amazing during the booking process. and once we arrived he treated us like family, our request for a table close to the piano was instantly catered for with Luigi moving a table next to the piano for us . He handled my medical dietary requirements with incredible patience and genuine understanding, which made for a completely stress free evening. The food was sensational and the portions so generous that the staff proactively offered us containers to take the rest home - such a thoughtful touch. Speaking of drinks , the wine list is excellent and the mocktails next level . I had two that were recommended by Luigi himself and they were fantastic not just sweet syrup like some restaurants serve . The ambience and atmosphere was electric thanks to the talented pianist/vocalist James who kept Luigi’s dinner guest’s entertained all evening. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, knowledgeable , displayed impeccable manners with a friendly demeanour. We will definitely return with family & friends . Thanks for your hospitality Luigi we love you . I also liked the board with “ LOVE YOUR MAMMA” your Mamma must be so proud of you !

We visited Luigi’s Delicatessen for their Twilight Dinner before heading to see Heathers The Musical, and it was honestly the perfect start to the night. The service was absolutely wonderful, our waiter was so attentive and somehow knew exactly what we would love, and he was completely right! Every recommendation was incredible. The lasagne was absolutely unreal, and the gnocchi was some of the most delicious food we’ve had in a long time. The cocktails were also top tier, and the whole experience, from the atmosphere, to the food, to the service, was exceptional. This is genuinely some of the best food and service I have experienced in a long time. I cannot recommend Luigi’s Delicatessen enough and I already cannot wait to come back!
Went on a weekend with a group and was immediately struck by the atmosphere, piano music playing in the restaurant and a warm welcome from the waiter, who offered to guide us through the menu. I had no expectations, but I was amazed to learn the menu changes daily. Following the waiter’s recommendation, we went for sharing platters, and he curated a series of dishes tailored to our tastes and allergies. What arrived was two courses of beautifully crafted food, each plate clearly made with love and passion. I can’t recommend this place enough. Yes, it’s pricier than your average restaurant, but the experience rivals that of a Michelin-starred meal, without any of the pretense which i absolutely adore. The two owners clearly adore what they do, and it shows; you feel like you’re part of their family while dining.
I had the most amazing experience at Luigi’s! I’ve never had a dining experience like this one, it was very unique! The service was amazing & the food was absolutely divine!! A very special shout out to Isabel, who looked after me whilst at Luigi’s! Her food recommendations were spot on and overall she was such a lovely person. I’m so excited to come back on my next visit to Adelaide!! Luigi the owner, was also super lovely and came and greeted me, had a chat with me and served some food - you don’t get that nearly anywhere. Such a beautiful place, food and people!😍
Eating there was a an experience not only food. Great (I mean it) great Italian food . Calm atmosphere with light live music. The staff were amazing, Sara explained the history behind the restaurant and served us as her own home visitors. The level of food , atmosphere, hospitality makes me want to give them 6 stars.
Delicious !!! Just got off a flight and was looking for hearty meal to nourish a very tired body and hungry belly. Found this in google map (first time in Adelaide). Saw the good reviews and nice photos of foods. Called them at 2:12 pm to ask if they close after lunch. They said last order is 2:30pm but urge me to still go. Said the kitchen will wait for me. Got there at 2:30pm and still manage to order lunch. They don’t have a set menu, they’ll just tell you what kind of pasta they have that day. There were 6 to choose from. All sound delicious. We chose Tagliatelle Ragu and linguini with crab. Both delicious ! Came out pipping hot. They did start cleaning the kitchen after they cooked our food. Despite that, we wanted garlic bread later and they still grilled them for us ! Delicious garlic bread. Delicious home made pasta. Amazing service !! Highly recommend ! Must come ! We clean our plates off !! .
Food was absolutely amazing, choices made for you based on your dietary requirements. Chosen perfectly 👌 highly recommend. Staff are amazing, friendly and look after you so well. Loved it. Wonderful experience. Intimate lighting so photos are not great but I guarantee you love it.
Thanks for the amazing dinner experience. My friend and I booked the restaurant for dinner celebration. We had ordered a salmon tartar for entree, a seared snapper with bread on top of creamy sauce, and a mushroom pasta. Tiramisu for dessert. I was so touched by the team birthday celebration surprise and perfect moment matched with the live birthday piano performance. It's a very jazzy and phenomenal night. I will recommend this dining experience to my friends.
We celebrated my birthday at Luigi last week, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was outstanding. A special thank you to Nik, Anthony, and Noah, who went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome and genuinely looked after throughout the evening. Their friendly and attentive service made our celebration even more memorable. Thank you to the whole team for a fantastic birthday dinner. We can't wait to come back!
